President Yoweri Museveni has this afternoon arrived in South Africa for a two-day working visit.

The President arrived at Lanseria International Airport in Johannesburg at 1.30p.m. local time today and was received by Mr. Landers Luwellyn, the South African Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Relations.

Also present at the airport was Uganda's Foreign Affairs Minister, Mr. Sam Kutesa and Uganda's High Commissioner to South Africa, Mr. Julius Peter Moto.

Later in the afternoon, the President met his host, President Jacob Zuma at the Sefako Makgatho Presidential Guest House in Pretoria where they held a bilateral discussion, attended by Chief of Defence Forces, Gen. Katumba Wamala.

The Presidents discussed issues of mutual interest between their two countries ranging from the economy to security, among others.

The President was earlier seen off at Entebbe International Airport by the Minister for Presidency, Hon. Esther Ambayo. Others at the Airport included Deputy Chief of Defence Forces, Lt. Gen. Charles Angina, Assistant Inspector General of Police who is also Chief Political Commissar in the Uganda Police, Mr. Fred Iga and Assistant Commissioner of Prisons Services Mr. Mwanje. ENDS
