The NRM Party Presidential flag bearer in the forthcoming national elections, Mr. Yoweri Museveni, has today received the entire executive of Go-Forward team from Sebei Sub-Region in Eastern Uganda, led by the JPAM Regional Mobiliser, Research and Cadre Recruitment, Mr. Jinnah Jacob Matthew, during Mr. Museveni’s rally in Kassanda North Constituency in Mubende district. Candidate Museveni introduced them to NRM supporters of Kassanda North Constituency and warmly welcomed them back to the Movement. Other members of the group included the women mobiliser for Go-Forward Party in Sebei Sub-Region, Ms. Betty Musani. Mr. Jinnah Jacob Matthew said they decided to quit Go-Forward because one family of Mr. Amama Mbabazi was running the Party. “We realized that we had no chance at all at the Party because all the affairs were run by the family. We now came to our senses and said if at this stage, a family is running the affairs of the Party, what about when he becomes the President of Uganda what will happen? That is why we decided to come back home. NRM is an all inclusive Party that embraces unity,” he pointed out. Candidate Museveni who was accompanied by the 1st Lady, Hon. Janet Museveni, thanked the people of Kassanda North Constituency for disclosing the ills meted out on them by corrupt government officials and pledged to investigate the case of land grabbing and that of medical personnel who levy financial charges on patients in Mubende Government Hospital. He also assured the people of Kassanda that he is going to personally investigate the alleged issue of land grabbing by a one soldier called Moses from Kakindu and ensure that the matter is resolved. Turning to development, Candidate Museveni assured the people of Kassanda that the road from Myanzi to Kassanda, Bukuya on to Kiboga, will be tarmacked. He was equally delighted to note that electricity has been extended to the area Kassanda North where he fought the liberation war. He promised to ensure that all the other areas that have not been given electricity, will get it. ENDS
