President Yoweri Museveni has today received and held discussions with officials from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), who called on him at State House, Entebbe.
The visiting delegation, led by the IMF Mission Chief in Uganda, Mr. Axel Schimmelpfennig, has been in Uganda for 2 weeks to appreciate progress in policy implementation by Uganda.
President Museveni and the visiting IMF delegation discussed a number of policies that help the country to generate and realize growth in the country focusing on micro economic matters, infrastructure development, value addition and market integration, among others, that are seen as crucial stimuli in the development of Uganda.
The President informed his guests that Uganda will continue to develop the more especially now that the country has addressed the issue of infrastructure, especially electricity generation.
Finance and Economic Planning Minister, Hon. Matia Kasaija and Bank of Uganda Governor, Prof. Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile, among others, attended the meeting. ENDS
