President Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir of Sudan is in Uganda on a 2-day official at the invitation of President Yoweri Museveni.
President Bashir was this morning received at State House, Entebbe by his host President Museveni and a high-powered Uganda delegation that included Cabinet Ministers, Government Service Chiefs and senior government officials.
President al-Bashir was treated to a red carpet welcome and accorded a 21- gun salute. He also inspected a guard of honour mounted by the Uganda Police Force.
During his stay in Uganda, President Omar Hassan Al-Bashir will hold bilateral discussions with his host President Yoweri Museveni on a number of issues of mutual importance between the two countries as well as regional matters.
