President Yoweri Museveni has held a meeting with the visiting Swedish Deputy Foreign Minister, Annika Soder and her delegation who called on him at State House, Entebbe.During the meeting that took place yesterday at State House, Entebbe, the visiting Swedish Minister Mr. Museveni and the Swedish delegation discussed bilateral matters of mutual interest between Sweden and Uganda.Swedish Minister Annika Soder, who congratulated President Museveni for winning the February 2016 General Elections commended him and the Government of Uganda for the tremendous contribution, through the Africa Union’s-supported African Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) in a bid to pacify the Horn Africa country that has been torn by war for long.She noted with pleasure that that Uganda has, in the last 10 years developed rapidly economically adding that the wellbeing of the people in Uganda has also increased and improved tremendously.She further appreciated the President for having successfully empowered women in Uganda noting that women are continuously taking up more seats in Parliament.Regarding the issue of the International Criminal Court (ICC), President Museveni told his guests that there should be effective dialogue and respect shown by the ICC adding that superficiality and arrogance exhibited by Western countries should change.President Museveni received a token in form of a book, entitled ‘Swedish Wildness’, from the Swedish Deputy Foreign Minister.
