President Yoweri Museveni yesterday led a trek with the new NRM Members of Parliament from Ahakaapa in Kyankwanzi district, crossed River Mayanja by boat to Ahakabaare crossing point in Butemba County in neighbouring Nakaseke district.The 3.5 kilometre-long trek which was was effortless for the President while a number of Members of Parliament were gasping for breath half-way the journey.At the end of the long walk, the President conducted the legislators around the government ranch in Ngoma, Nakaseke district, which sits on four square miles of land.  He showed them the herds of cattle that the government farm is rearing.Mr. Museveni told the MPs that Ngoma area is a historical place because it was used during the protracted armed people’s liberation struggle to fight against dictatorship in the country.He expressed happiness that transformation has taken place in the cattle corridor of Ngoma in terms of modern houses and numerous development facilities that have been established such as solar power among others.ENDS
